Daily prayers you can do in the morning, afternoon or at night. Christian prayers for family, marriage, healing, protection from evil, guidance, etc. and start a new day in contact with God
Father, I always want my priorities to be in line with the character that You portray. Help me not to be selfish or religious as I walk this life of faith.
Keep me focused in a single-minded pursuit of Your will.
Jesus Christ came to replace the archaic system that was in place since the days of Moses, for the atonement of sin. The old system involved a human high priest who made regular animal and blood offerings, etc. But through the death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection, He nullified the old system.
As a Christian, you are not permitted to worry. What you should do instead is to write down your problems and challenges and present them to the Almighty in the form of petitions through prayers with thanksgiving.
Have you watched or listened to a person who calls himself or herself a prophet but does not acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the Messiah? Or have you actually gone to visit such a person for help? If yes, you have watched / heard / visited a person with the spirit of the antichrist.
The Bible says in Acts 10:38 (NLT) "And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him." The anointing Jesus had was from the Holy Spirit which also lives in you.
Though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
Father, with all of my heart I want Your will to be done for my life. I don’t want to live a fantasy life with lofty goals that I will never achieve, nor do I want to gain fame and fortune in ventures that are outside of Your perfect will.
Yes, you can be angry when someone offends you. However, you should not sin. What does this mean? It means you should not for example, respond to a provocation with insults or with physical violence or some other method that would amount to sin. This is not ordinarily easy and this is one of the reasons why God sent us His Holy Spirit
There are thorns in the soil of life that prevent the word of God from maturing in our lives. These thorns include worry, wealth and the pleasures of life that fill up our hearts.
Amid the cheerfulness of household gatherings, it is easy to slide into sinful amusements and forget our declared character as Christians. It should not be so, but it is, that our days of feasting are very seldom days of sanctified enjoyment.
Unlike most people, I do not feel much Dickensian nostalgia at Christmastime. The holiday fell just a few days after my father died early in my childhood, and all my memories of the season are darkened by the shadow of that sadness.
One of the messages that we learn from the Christmas story is that of peace. While God might appear overwhelming at times, He always wants to give us the assurance that with Him, peace reigns, even in the announcement of His Son’s birth.
Have you ever seen a child who cannot find his mother in a crowd? Although she may be out of sight, the little tyke may still hear her voice. It is almost as though his inner radar scans the sounds around him, looking for that one familiar tone.
The great apostle Paul was just like you and me. He had a love for God blended with feet of clay. Great passion . . . and great weakness. The longer I thought about this blend, the more evidence emerged from Scripture to support it.
