Walking on Water

Jesus did walk on water on one occasion, according to Matthew 14:22–33. His disciples were in a boat on a storm-tossed lake, and when Jesus approached them they thought He was a ghost.

Peter tried to walk toward his Master, and Jesus encouraged him. Peter lost faith and sank, but Jesus caught him.

“Those who were in the boat came and worshipped Him, saying, ‘Truly You are the Son of God.’” The miracle showed that the Son of God ruled over nature.
