DAILY DEVOTIONAL

God Is Your Vindicator

Joyce Meyer

Do yourself a favor right now as you enter this new year and refuse to remain angry or bitter. God has good things planned for us, and we don’t want to miss them by refusing to let go of things in the past.

Do yourself a favor right now as you enter this new year and refuse to remain angry or bitter.

God Is Your Vindicator | Daily Devotional by Joyce Meyer

For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” Hebrews 10:30 (NKJV)

In order to begin this new year properly, it is important not to enter it with any kind of bitterness or unforgiveness in our heart.

It is unlikely that any one of us has made it through an entire year without being hurt by someone, but we only continue letting what they have done hurt us if we don’t forgive them.

Ask yourself if you are angry with anyone for anything, and if you are, ask God to help you forgive, forget, and let it go.

God is our Vindicator and if we will allow Him to, He will repay us for every injustice that has been done to us. In my life, I have learned that anger is something we should never carry around with us.

God’s Word says that we should not let the sun set on our anger, and if we do, then we give the devil a foothold in our lives (see Ephesians 4:26–27).

Do yourself a favor right now as you enter this new year and refuse to remain angry or bitter. God has good things planned for us, and we don’t want to miss them by refusing to let go of things in the past. Start the new year with a peaceful heart and be determined to enjoy each day.

Prayer: Father, help me forgive everyone who has hurt me in the past year, and if I have hurt anyone, please help them forgive me.

Faith isn’t passive. It’s active. If you don’t believe me, read Hebrews 11.

Shut Up and Get Moving

Steven Furtick
When we’re looking for God to do something big. When we’re waiting to see God bring something new and greater into our lives. Be still. Let the Lord fight the battle for you. Let go and let God.
Trust in Him No matter what you are going through in life, you can trust God to be with you.

Some Positive Thing We Can Look at or Talk

Joyce Meyer
I once read a book that was based entirely on the word. He taught the reader to take each problem in his life, look at it honestly and then say “however,” and find something compensating positive in the individual's life that would put the problem into perspective.
The Bible makes it clear that we need to love each other as God loves us.

Learning the Love Languages

Gary Chapman
Many couples earnestly love each other but do not communicate their love in an effective way. If you don’t speak your spouse’s primary love language, he or she may not feel loved, even when you are showing love in other ways.
Why is it important to understand the distinction of the Spirit? Because He’s the one to whom we relate.

The Voice of the Spirit Within Us

Chris Tiegreen
We don’t understand the mysteries of the relationship between Father, Son, and Spirit, but we do know each has a distinct role in our lives. When Jesus tells His disciples about the work of the Spirit, He explains that the Spirit will hear from Jesus Himself, who in turn has heard from the Father.
If you already know the joy of Jesus, pray now for those who don’t yet understand that God wants them to invite his Son into their hearts.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Humbly Choosing God

Katie Brazelton
I’m convinced God will do anything for those who are meek, anything at all that’s in their best interest. When we humbly understand who we are in relation to him, our lives begin to make sense with a newfound confidence in him, his power, and his ways.
