Every verse in the Bible is invaluable, because all Scripture is inspired by God, and we are to live by every word that comes from His mouth (2 Tim. 3:16; Matt. 4:4). A learned verse is recorded in our memory and from there it passes to our conscious and subconscious. The principle of Proverbs 23:7 is true always. It is an unbreakable law of life that cannot be altered and that will remain as long as human nature exists: for as we think within ourselves, so we are.

“I have discovered that by memorizing Scripture, the incredible treasures of the Word are not only available in my mind, but are communicated to my entire being, in a way that is a testimony to the substantial power of God's Word. Memorizing verses is good, but when I talk about memorizing Scripture, I really mean memorizing passages, entire psalms, or large parts of the Epistles or Gospels." Dallas Willard

We must remember that "all Scripture is inspired by God," or infused by the Holy Spirit, and as such is without error or contradiction (since God does not contradict Himself). That is why it is always wise to interpret a given Bible passage by comparing it to principles and teachings found elsewhere in the Scriptures. This provides a healthy check and balance and helps us avoid misinterpretations, logical inconsistencies, and inappropriate applications.
