SNATCH

In the Old Testament we find two cases of people raptured to God: Enoch (Gen. 5:24; Heb. 11:5) and Elijah (2 Kings 2:11), without seeing death.

In the New Testament we have the promise of the rapture of Christ’s people at his coming. First there will be the resurrection of the dead “in Christ,” and then all living believers then, along with the newly resurrected saints, will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air (1 Thes. 4:16-17).

This preliminary fact of the coming of the Lord is of the greatest interest to the Church, which receives the instruction to wait for the Lord of it (Tit. 2: 11-14).
