PLAGUE

PLAGUE

The plague is a contagious disease, often epidemic; In India it has been endemic for a long time.

The Bible frequently presents it as a scourge from God (Ex. 9:15; Lev. 26:25; Deut. 28:21), which He brings about through secondary causes. War, famine, and pestilence are punishments that follow one another (Ex. 6:11).

When war breaks out in a region, the enemies seize the crops, destroying them; The farmers stop cultivating the land.

Besieged cities cannot get supplies. Hunger, mortality and unhealthiness favor the appearance of the plague.
