Meshach, whose name was Mishael in Hebrew, was a biblical figure mentioned in the book of Daniel in the Old Testament. Along with his companions, Shadrach and Abed-Nego, Meshach was one of the young Jews taken captive to Babylon during the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar.
