LUXOR
District of ancient Thebes.
Luxor and Karnak, on the right bank of the Nile, display numerous ruins of monuments. There are temples, obelisks, a sphinx, etc.
On the western bank of the river is the famous “Valley of the Kings” in Kurna and Medinet-Habu. The tombs of more than sixty pharaohs have been found there.
