Meaning of LIBYA

The area of Africa west of Egypt, and its inhabitants (Jer. 46:9; Ez. 38:5; Dan. 11:43; Acts 2:10).
In Hebrew is Fut. The same district is called Lubini in Nah. 3:9, and its inhabitants lubim in 2 Chron. 12:3; 16:8.

They are supposed to be descendants of Put, son of Ham. They were allies of Egypt.

We were created to come close to a Father who has made himself vulnerable to the longings of his people and to absorb his desires as he cares for and works through ours.
