LAME

LAME

Lameness, like all other diseases, deformities or deficiencies, was a product of sin. This explains the prohibition of the exercise of the priesthood, in the Mosaic economy, to the lame, as well as to those who suffered from other ailments (Lev. 21:18).

The Law was powerless to take away sin. This was the peculiar ministry of the Lord Jesus, who came to bring comprehensive, spiritual and bodily healing (Lk. 7:22).

Rejected, he will return to reign, and in his millennial reign “the lame will leap like a deer,” in a scene in which the power of the healing God will be actively manifested.

Lameness, as an imperfection, was also a cause of exclusion of any animal for sacrifice. All of this points to the fact that our life, our walk in testimony, must be a sacrifice for Him, giving Him the most chosen of our lives; our entire life, not our leftovers (cp. Mal. 1:8, 13).
