(a) Son of Simea and nephew of David. He supported her cousin Amnon in her desire to possess her half-sister Tamar, which led to her rape by Amnon (2 Sam. 13:3, 5, 32, 35).
(b) Son of Rechab the founder of the Rechabites. Jehu took him with him to show him his zeal for Jehovah (2 Kings 10:15, 23; Jer. 35:6-19).
