HOOK
Fishing was a very common activity already in Egypt, not only with a net, but also with line and hook (Is. 19:8); This was also used by the Israelites; The fish with the coin in its mouth was caught with a hook (Mt. 17:27). Habakkuk symbolically uses this image of the trapping of men to be sent into captivity (Hab. 1:15; cp. Am. 4:2).
