HAIL

HAIL

Aggregations of ice formed from water droplets in the very cold regions of the atmosphere.

They can join together forming very large hailstones that fall with great force, causing serious damage.
It was one of the ten plagues of Egypt (Ex. 9:18-34; Ps. 78:47, 48; 105:32).

It is sometimes accompanied by an electrical device.
It will be part of the manifestations of God’s power in his judgment with this sinful world (Rev. 8:7; 11:19; 16:21).

Josephus suggests that the Egyptian hail was of singular size (Ant. 2:14, 4).
