FORUM OF APPIUS
The Forum or Market of Appius was a city on the Appian Way, the main road from Rome to the Bay of Naples, where Christian brothers went to receive Paul.
It was almost 70 km from Rome (Acts 28:15). The road was more than 6 m wide, and sections of it can still be seen. It was built by Appius Claudius Ceco in the year 312 BC.
