(b) A valley of Judah near Tekoa. Jehoshaphat gave him this name because there he gave thanks to God for the great victory over the Ammonites, Moabites and Edomites (2 Chron. 20:26); Traces of this name are found in Bereikut, about 6 km north of Tekoa, 10 km southwest of Bethlehem, in "Wadi el Arrub".
