The Old Testament describes the special garb of Israel’s high priest, but the New Testament gives no hint that Christian pastors wore any distinctive clothing.
Christian leaders were respected because they appeared to be led by the Spirit, not because they wore any kind of garb or called themselves “Reverend” or “Father” (something Jesus actually condemned, Matt. 20:26: 23:8).
