Were they a sort of “holy dice”? The Old Testament refers several times to Urim and Thummim as objects Israel’s high priest used in determining God’s will, but the objects are never actually described. We can assume they functioned in a kind of “heads or tails” manner. (See Ex. 28:30; Lev. 8:8; Ezra 2:63.)
