The Pillar of Fire

When the Israelites left Egypt, God guided them through the wilderness with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.

The pillar of cloud stood over the tabernacle (see 115) whenever God met Moses there. As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance while the Lord spoke with Moses (Ex. 33:9).

Our task is to do what the psalmist David did: He didn’t worry about “great matters” or things “too profound” for him.
