The Bible says nothing at all about tobacco, since the plant (native to America) was not used by any Christians until the English settled Virginia in 1607.
King James I (for whome the Bible version was named) opposed smoking and wrote a book against it, but tobacco became popular anyway.
While the New Testament emphasizes care for one’s body (1 Cor. 6:19), there is nothing in the Bible to suggest that smoking is immoral or unchristian.
In the past fundamentalist Christians were noted for preaching against smoking, but the campaign today is in the hands of secular liberals.
