This is the same as the Torah (see 177), the first five books of the Bible. The Greek word Pentateuch means “five tools.” Sometimes Jews use the word Torah to refer to their whole body of belief. But Pentateuch refers only to the first five books, traditionally called the “books of Moses” because he is the chief character and, probably, one of the main authors.
