Prayer to Become an Ambassador of Christ | Daily Prayer
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." — 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 (ESV)
Daily Exhortation
When Jesus was here on earth, He was the agent of reconciliation. Through Him, the Almighty was reconciling the world to Himself.
Now, as Christians, this message of reconciliation has been entrusted to us. We have become, in essence, ambassadors as God is now, at this time, making His appeal to the world [for the forgiveness of sins and salvation] through us so that sinners can secure righteousness in Christ Jesus. Are you an ambassador for Christ?
Today's Prayers
1. O Lord God, I thank You for Your mighty plan and work of salvation.
2. I thank You because the execution of this plan is the reason for my joy on this earth and my assurance of bliss in the hereafter.
3. I know that there are sinners out there who also need to hear Your word so that they too can get this joy and assurance.
4. Therefore, Lord Jesus, this morning, I am enrolling myself in the school of Christ's Ambassadors, in the name of Jesus.
5. In this matter, O Lord, I submit myself to Your complete tutelage and use, in the name of Jesus.
6. Let me begin my work as an ambassador in earnest. Through me, O God, according to Your word, make Your appeal of salvation to the world so that those who are currently sinners can receive salvation and be rescued, in the name of Jesus.
7. Thank you heavenly Father for answering my prayers, in Jesus' mighty name, amen.
