Prayer for Protection Against Betrayal | Daily Prayer
"Then one of the twelve [disciples], who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, 'What are you willing to give me if I hand Jesus over to you?' And they weighed out thirty pieces of silver. And from that moment Judas began looking for an opportune time to betray Jesus." Matthew 26:14-16 (AMP)
Daily Exhortation
For any reason, anyone can be inspired or assigned to betray you and to bring you down. If you look at today's scripture, it shows one dimension of what Judas' motivation was. Here, it appears Judas was driven solely by money since he asked "What are you willing to give me if I hand Jesus over to you?"
Yes, money is a common basis for betrayal. At other times, it could be envy or power or the humiliation of rejection or something else. However, the example of Judas reveals another possible dimension. In Luke 22:3-5 (NIV), the Bible says "Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve.
And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus." That verse says that satan 'entered' into Judas.
This is not always the case but it is possible that a demonic entity can enter into someone you know and motivate him or her to make attempts to betray you or to bring you down. If you do not want to be brought down for any reason, you need prayers. Get yourself ready!
Today's Prayers
1. O God, my rock, my fortress and my deliverer, protect me, save me and deliver me, in the name of Jesus.
2. Lord of hosts, let every plan inspired by sin or greed or the arm of flesh to bring me down, be frustrated now and forever, in the name of Jesus.
3. O Lord, my high tower, let every plan driven directly by satan and his demons to pull me down, go into disarray, confusion and nothingness, in the name of Jesus.
4. Any human agent driven by the arm of flesh or filled with demons, who has been assigned against me to betray me or to ruin my life in anyway, I arrest you. I hand you over to the Almighty who will judge you in His own way, in the name of Jesus.
5. Any foul spirit working tirelessly to bring me down, my life is not your candidate. Therefore, I bind you now! Flee from my vicinity and from life and never ever return, in the name of Jesus.
6. Instead of going down, I shall experience multiple promotions to the glory of the living God, in the name of Jesus.
7. Thank you O Lord for answering all my prayers, in Jesus' mighty name, amen.
