Fixing My Eyes on Jesus

Author: Anne Graham Lotz Publishing House: Zondervan

Fixing My Eyes on Jesus, Daily moments in His Word by Anne Grahan Lotz, is a daily invitation to consider the desire of God, to find an adequate response for every situation in life and trust in his word

Fixing My Eyes on Jesus, Daily moments in His Word
Anne Graham Lotz

Anne Grahan Lotz has known how to walk with Jesus throughout her life, her daily experience with God has been able to translate into these daily devotions. Each one of them will help you to put your gaze on Jesus.

It is a daily invitation to consider the desire of God, to do his will in every situation, be it in the morning, afternoon or evening, we need to know that we are right, in the center of his will.

Anne Graham Lotz say:
Having grown up in the mountains of western North Carolina, I have always enjoyed hiking. One fourteen-mile hike I took to a young teen stands out particularly in my mind because somewhere along the way, my companion and I got completely lost in a huge laurel thicket!

When we realized we were lost, my friend took a compass out of his pocket, pointed out the needle pointing north, and as a result we adjusted our direction. We chose the right way out and eventually emerged where we needed to be.

Getting up early in the morning to fix my eyes on Jesus through prayer and reading His Word is like setting my spiritual compass each day. No matter what faces me during the day, or how "lost" and confused I may become, no matter how many decisions and choices I'm confronted with, my heart and my thoughts always turn to Him. And He invariably leads me on the right path.

My prayer is that the devotees in this small volume will help you fix your eyes on Jesus every day so that you too can set your spiritual compass, ensuring that you center down on Him and stay on the right path.

Start the day in the best way, fixing your eyes on Jesus, pray to God, connect with his Word and experience his love, grace and power.

Book cover of Fixing My Eyes on Jesus
This Christmas season, let’s remember to thank Him for His most precious gift to us: Himself.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

The Gift of Himself

David Jeremiah
Long ago, there ruled a wise and good king in Persia who loved his people and often dressed in the clothes of a working man or a beggar so he could visit the poor and learn about their hardships.
Father, as we honor the birth of your Son, let us think on mercy, healing, and reconciliation. Amen.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Healing Time

J. Stephen Lang
1868: On this date a political leader who grew up poor, had no formal education and was illiterate until his wife taught him to read and write, issued Proclamation 179 “granting full pardon and amnesty for the offense of treason against the United States during the late Civil War.”
Christmas means you have an eternal home waiting for you. That should make more than the angels sing!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

A Personal Promise

Charles Stanley
Jesus came to earth with the view of offering you salvation. He wanted you to have a restored relationship with the Father, a relationship that was so close, so intimate, that you would have your special place in the Father’s house (John 14:1–4).
The only people in Israel who did recognize Christ at His birth were humble, unremarkable people.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

The Unexpected Savior

John MacArthur
Scripture records that when John the Baptist began his ministry, “The people were in expectation, and all reasoned in their hearts about John, whether he was the Christ or not” (Luke 3:15).
In the incarnation, God spanned the vast chasm of fear that had distanced him from his human creation

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Reflections on the Incarnation and Freedom of God

Philip Yancey
Think of the condescension involved: the incarnation, which sliced history into two parts had more animal than human witnesses. Think, too, of the risk. In the incarnation, God spanned the vast chasm of fear that had distanced him from his human creation.
