Andy Stanley received a bachelor's degree in journalism from Georgia State University and later earned a master's degree from Dallas Theological Seminary.
After working for several years as an associate pastor, and the Student Minister at First Baptist Church of Atlanta, he and five others founded North Point Community Church in 1995.
The church has now grown to six campuses and more than 40,000 attendees each week, making it one of the largest churches in the United States.
