BUZI
“Bazu’s.”
Name of two characters from the Old Testament:
(a) Priest father of the prophet Ezekiel (Ez. 1:3). The same name is given on a Hebrew seal found in recent excavations.
(b) The same name but as a demonym, “Buzite,” indicating a descendant of Buzi, or a member of the family of the same name, is applied to Job’s friend Elihu (Jb. 32:2-6).
